This has been my first winter in some time and what a doozy.
I’m learning that some things that weren’t important to me are now important to me. I’m remembering what it means to have a grounding practice because when everything is up in the air, it’s important for you to have access to yourself. Even if that means getting to a place where you can recall that path back.
I’ve only shared with you and the Jubilee ladies that I’ve moved to Tbilisi, Georgia. It’s been a couple of weeks and I’m still settling in, but I think I like it. It’s really funky here. I see artistic expression everywhere. I’ve been able to have some lovely conversations with a few local ladies and the streets are hot with events. Which is good and bad, because covid, unfortunately, is also hot.
Because I’ve been in these Tbilisi streets and have noticed many of you pretty much never stopped traveling, I’veĀ been thinking of bringing you here.
You’re the first to know! IBWTJ this year is happening on October 1st and 2nd and I’m very tempted to invite a few of yall to come through to Tbilisi. It’s been really lovely to interact with people? That can’t be right, but alas. And how much more dope would it be to meet up with yall!!!! Picture it. The music, the lighting, the connections, learning, and taking in the sites together.
It’s nice to remember the original intent and get back to that idea of the kinetic energy of sistahs who love to travel connecting in such a profound way. I just let out a deep sigh thinking about it.
I miss you all very much and can’t wait to fully arrive back to being present with you. So far I’ve only put out a couple of podcast episodes and have been showing up weekly for the Black Women Travel Mastermind, which has been a DREAM. These ladies are in the throes of desire, allowing, and moving through it all with action. They are so dope. I can’t wait to share what they’ve been working on with you.
I also can’t wait to share more of you with the Crew. I’d love to have you on the podcast, on a YouTube live etc. I believe in supporting those who support me and where possible creating opportunities for you to thrive.
What a gift to be in your company and I’d love to hear how you’ve been.
